ASME B31.1 (Power Piping) — Gap Analysis
ASME B31.1 — Power Piping for Electric/Steam Generation, Industrial PlantsAbout ASME B31.1 (Power Piping)
ASME B31.1 is the Power Piping code, part of the ASME B31 series (originally derived from the same parent document as the ASME BPVC). It governs the design, materials, fabrication, erection, examination, inspection, testing and operation of piping systems for steam, water, oil, gas and other fluids in power-generation and related industrial settings. Its key distinction from ASME B31.3 is application to higher-temperature/pressure steam-generation service.
