About IFRS S1 & S2 (ISSB)

IFRS S1 and S2 are the inaugural sustainability disclosure standards from the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), published in June 2023 and effective from 1 January 2024. They consolidate and replace the recommendations of the TCFD, integrating SASB industry-based metrics. Many jurisdictions (UK SDS, EU CSRD, Japan SSBJ, Australia, Brazil, etc.) are basing their mandatory sustainability disclosures on these standards.
